Superfolk | Copper Beech Block Print
Superfolk was founded by the husband and wife team of craft-designer Gearoid Muldowney and artist and architect Jo Anne Butler. Their studio is nestled in the rugged landscape of Clew Bay along Ireland’s stunning West Coast. Their surroundings bear a significant influence on their vast homeware collection in both their use of colour and overall product design. A key element of Superfolk’s ethos is sustainable design using natural and renewable materials to create pieces that are long-lasting and timeless in their aesthetic.
The stunning large Copper Beech design utilises the hearty tones of raw umber and deep rubine red to highlight the beech leaf design. Printed on delicate 34 gms Japanese washi paper in their studio using water-based inks, each artwork is hand-printed.
