Scout's Story
Established in 2008, in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, originally under the moniker of Bow, Wendy Crawford expressed her passion for promoting Irish design via a shared retail space. Scout found its current home at 5 Essex Street West in 2014.
Located in the corner of Temple Bar’s historic quarter, neighboured by beautiful independent boutiques, Scout’s collection has expanded from purely ladieswear to homewares, children’s clothing and accessories, apothecary and varius unisex pieces.
Scout’s ethos is to provide a range of timeless products that steer clear from trends, instead offering functionality, good design and longevity. In doing so, Wendy’s edit of gorgeous textiles and unique furnishings supports the wealth of talent in Ireland’s thriving design scene.
Presently, Scout’s collection of designers include local designers and makers Arran Street East, Kathryn Davey, Liadain Aiken, McNutt of Donegal, Electronic Sheep, Beeswax Candle Makers, Saturday Workshop, Sally Caulwell, Clean Slate, Wee Yarn, Original Aran Company and The Pear in Paper. International brands span the United Kingdom (YMC and Sideline), Sweden (Stutterheim), France (Armor Lux and Le Secret de Manon) and the Netherlands (Gray Label).
Nice things. That is all.
